First, any type of coating is only as good as the base it's adhered to. This is also negative side waterproofing which will allow water to stay in the blocks. The floor/wall joint is a natural seam created by the construction and it's the number one source for water entry into the basement floor. There is no guaranteed way to seal this joint. Have a local reputable basement waterproofer look at your basement if you are having a water problem. If there is no real water problem then sealing may help with moisture or dampness. |
