DUI attorneys are attorneys who have specialized knowledge of DUI laws. Due to the strict nature of penalties, DUI defense is a specialized area of criminal defense. In the state of California, it is illegal to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. A person is considered to be DUI if his or her blood alcohol content is .08% or greater.
