Well Worth the Money -- I highly recommend this book. It is one of the most useful personal finance books I've read in long time. Each chapter contains practical tips and insider knowledge that the average home equity loan borrower (like me) simply would not otherwise have access to. There is no question that the cost of this book can be recovered several times over by anyone who already has a home equity loan or is considering taking one out.
I spent a lot of time searching the web for information before getting my home equity loan. Mostly what I found was advertising and infomercial "advice" from lenders and mortgage brokers. Nowhere did I find the type of independent, practical guidance contained in this book.
