Bibliography. From the Publisher Noel Bennett lived on the Navajo Reservation from 1968 to 1976. During this time, under the tutelage of twenty-one Navajo weavers, she learned the full spectrum of Navajo weaving--shearing, carding, spinning and plant-dyeing the yarn, and weaving on the Navajo loom. To help preserve the culture, Noel has written ten books on the subject. In 1982, she founded Shared Horizons, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of Navajo culture.
