I learned a new way of doing zippers which has cut my half in time and given me a love for zippers over buttons!!! Highly recommend! Great for those who don't sew often at all. -- I sew about 3 times a year. Make very basic things. This book is great and helpful with colourful pictures. I recommend it for those who are beginners and need some advice. Basic sewing techniques -- This is useful to demonstrate basic sewing projects and tehcniques. Very good for advanced beginning crafters. I would recommend this book to 5ht grades through 10th grade, for teachers and parents. Okay, but a more complete book would provide better info -- This book provides big color pictures that are helpful, HOWEVER, the beginner should purchase a step by step guide instead of this. Fantastic book for a beginner -- This was the first sewing book I ever purchased, and I return to it often to lookup the details that patterns omit. It walks you through a variety of general sewing techniques as well as useful garment construction techniques. The color pictures are quite detailed and the steps are described completely. I highly recommend this book for someone who is just getting started and wants a step-by-step walk through of common techniques and full explanations of commonly used sewing terms. Reviews: |
