Book Description:

Proven construction techniques and methods -- So you've taken the leap and are going to sew a jacket. Maybe you've already made several suits, but you're looking for more polish. where can you find the information you need? Threads, naturally. In this collection of 16 articles from the magazine, you'll get tailoring techniques and construction methods of sewing experts. You'll read about ideas to simplify construction and tips for designer details plus pressing and shaping wool for tailoring, sewing and inserting a jacket lining by machine, substituting fusible interfacing for hand tailoring and more.

Very little about coats, but excellent jacket information -- If you're looking to make a jacket or a blazer, this is one book you don't want to miss. It's got more information about fitting, pressing, sizing, facing, and construction than any I've seen before. Unfortunately, it doesn't have much information on winter coat construction. If you're looking for advice on how to sew duffle or other thick woollens, you won't find it here.
