Sandpaper sharpening can be done with cheap, easy-to-obtain supplies and works on any tool that needs a keen edge. With five grades of sandpaper you can take a nicked, battered chisel to a mirror finish on an edge you can shave with.
Dunbar also demonstrates his technique on drawknives, plane blades and gouges. Sharpening each blade takes only minutes, and it all happens without special gauges or messy lubricants.
