The large level vial features a luminous backing plate, for easy reading. The yellow epoxy coated, heavy-duty aluminum frame, protected with shock-absorbing plastic end-caps. Both level edges are precision machined for the highest degree of accuracy. Frame dimensions 1" x 2-5/16".
I like my new Johnson Level -- I have recently bought a Johnson Box Beam Level. In the past I have always bought Mahogany Brass bound ones. I am very happy with this model. It is light weight, yet rugged and can take some abuse. The yellow body shows up on the site.... I have only used it for a couple of weeks but I am convinced that I made a good purchase. I would buy this product again at the same price.
48" Johnson box level -- This is a very well built tool for the price. The cross section of the box extrusion is thick enough to supply rigidity without adding excesive weight.The accuracy of .5 mm per meter or .029 degrees makes this level great for finish work as well as framing. Makes a good staight edge at four foot and the yellow finish makes it hard to misplace.
