Good compressor. -- I do various home repairs on my own home and I needed a good quality air compressor for my nail guns. A friend of mine recommended the oil fill type as apposed to the oil-free version because of the life expectancy of oil-free. I have had the compressor for about 6 months and it has performed very well. It's a little louder than I expected, but not that bad. I'm very pleased.
The norm for DeWalt Tools -- I had a Porter Cable 4 Gal., 2H.P. Pancake compressor and just wasn't satisfied with the performance, especially since I was accustomed to the Quality and professional performance from DeWalt. The PC just wouldn't keep up with my work in my shop. I took it back and purchased the D55151 DeWalt and, of course, am satisfied again. Truly, DeWalt lives up to the advertisement, "Guaranteed Tough"! One can not go wrong purchasing this Compressor for shop or light commercial work. You may pay a little more but the quality built into every DeWalt tool I have makes it worth every penny!
